Terms and Conditions

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 The SportsPro OTT Awards is organised and managed by SportsPro Media Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under the registration number 6667015 and whose registered office is at 4th Floor, 123 Buckingham Palace Road, London, SW1W 9SH, United Kingdom. 

1.2 Reference to “us” and “the Organisers” means SportsPro Media Limited and references to “we” and “our” shall be construed accordingly. Reference to “you” or “Entrant” means the entity completing an entry and references to “your” or “their” shall be construed accordingly. 

1.3 All applications to enter the SportsPro OTT Awards are made subject to these Terms & Conditions (which shall apply to the exclusion of any terms imposed by you). 

2. ELIGIBILITY, RULES, AND DISQUALIFICATION

2.1 The SportsPro OTT Awards are open to any organisation and individuals involved in the sports OTT industry. The qualifying period for all entries is 00:01 (BST) 14th August 2022 – 23:59 (BST) 30th July 2023. 

2.2 Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are available on the event website here. Guidelines on how to enter are as follows: 

  1. Select the category or categories you wish to enter 
  2. Create your profile (and choose to pay now or later) 
  3. Fill out the submission form (suggested time) – you can save your progress later. 
  4. Submit your nomination by 23:59 (BST) 28th July 2023 (you must complete payment in order to submit) 
  5. Wait for the shortlist to be announced 

2.3 There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit or the number of categories you may enter, provided that the entry criteria for each category is satisfied. However, only a maximum of 2 submissions per company, per category, can be shortlisted. 

2.4 We assume all entries are original and the Entrant either owns the work or has permission from a client or other appropriate party to submit the work, with all rights granted therein. In the event that an Entrant without such rights submits an entry, the Entrant will be disqualified. We are not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the Entrant. 

2.5 Supporting material available online must be accessible on the Internet from the date of entry until 23:59 (GMT) 31st December 2023, and accessible via http and standard Web browsers. 

2.6 Entries will be considered completed when accompanied by a completed registration form and payment of the entry fee. 

2.7 Entries that have not been paid by 23:59 (BST) 28th July 2023 are not eligible for competition and will be disqualified. 

2.8 Closing date for entry will be 23:59 (BST) 28th July 2023. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. 

2.9 All entries will be acknowledged by a confirmation email. 

2.10 Entries that do not meet the eligibility requirements here explained may be disqualified at any stage without notification. Disqualified entries will not be refunded. 

2.11 No responsibility will be taken by SportsPro Media or any other company associated with the awards for delayed, undelivered or mislaid entries, or entries not successfully completed due to technical fault of any kind. Any entry which the Organisers consider in their discretion does not comply with these terms and conditions may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of the Organiser. 

2.12 Submission of any entry (including Video entries) confirms and agrees that the information contained in your application is not business sensitive, proprietary or confidential information, and no intellectual property rights attach thereto. 

Please note that entry copy submitted may be amended for the purposes of press and / or media releases. 

2.13 Entries become the property of the organisers. 

2.14 The information you provide must be independently verifiable, at your cost. Data should be auditable and able to be confirmed by an auditor’s certificate if required. 

2.15 The Entrant will take responsibility for responding to all correspondence with the Organisers relating to this application. 

2.16 Any entries which the Organisers or judges consider in their discretion to be incomplete entries will automatically be rejected and where the Organisers or judges consider in their discretion that an entry includes any false or misleading information within an application, they will automatically disqualify the Entrant who submitted such false or misleading information from the awards. The Organisers reserve all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition. 

2.17 By entering this competition, an Entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3. PRICES AND PAYMENT

3.1 Entries will be considered completed when accompanied by a completed registration form and payment of the entry fee. 

3.2 The entry fee per entry is £195+VAT (early bird rate) until Friday 16th June, and £295+VAT thereafter, (20% UK VAT). 

3.3 We will only accept payment for the entry fees through one of the available payment options (credit card or invoice). Entry fees are non-refundable. 

3.4 Entries that have not been paid by 23:59 (BST) 28th July 2023 are not eligible for competition and will be disqualified. We reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time if payment is not made. 

4. CHANGES TO THE SPORTSPRO OTT AWARDS

4.1 It may be necessary to alter the advertised content, timings and/or location of the SportsPro OTT Awards or the advertised programme and categories. We reserve the right to do this at any time. Where we defer the date and/or significantly amend the location of the SportsPro OTT Awards, we will provide you with notice of the same 

4.2 We are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any Entrant by any third party connected with this competition. 

4.3 We reserve the right to combine, rename and restructure categories at any time during the entry and judging process if the number of nominations received does not allow for a fair competition – e.g. fewer than four entries. 

4.4 We reserve the right to remove a Gold, Silver and/or Bronze award from any awards category if the entries are not of sufficient merit. 

5. PRIZES AND JUDGING PROCESS

5.1 The prize for each category will consist in a SportsPro OTT Awards branded trophy. 

5.2 The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. 

5.3 Winners will be chosen by a panel of selected judges. A list of the judges can be viewed on the SportsPro OTT Awards website. 

5.4 There will be one category winner chosen for each of the nineteen categories listed. In the event of a draw, judges will be asked to converse over the drawn entries and decide on a clear winner. 

5.5 Shortlisted entries will be notified by email and published online after the closing date. 

5.6 The winners from all categories will be presented with a trophy at the awards presentation. Winners will be revealed during the awards ceremony on 29th November. 

5.7 The decision of the panel of judges will be final and we will not enter into any correspondence or discussion with any Entrants nor will we accept any submissions, representations or appeals with regard to such decision. We reserve the right not to make any particular award in any given category. 

5.8 Submission of any entry (including Video entries) acknowledges the right of The SportsPro OTT Awards to use it for marketing and publication purposes. 

5.9 The Organiser reserves the right to change the judging panel or process without prior notice to the Entrants. 

5.10 The Judges have the right to withhold an award in any category if they feel the entries are not of sufficient merit. 

5.11 Where an Entrant is selected as a finalist; that Entrant may be asked to supply any additional financial or other information in relation to their entry. By submitting an application, Entrants consent to this information being made available to judges and third parties associated with the awards process. 

5.12 Any winner may publicise their award provided the year in which it was won is stated. Winning or entering the awards does not confer on you any intellectual property rights in relation to the awards or the Organisers, which remain the property of the Organisers. 

5.13 By entering this competition, an Entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

5.14 The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

6. DATA PROTECTION

The information you provide will be held by us. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), we are the data controller. 

Entries to the SportsPro OTT Awards are managed using a system operated by a third party under contract to us. Data, including personal data, will be processed and stored on systems managed by this third party and us. This data can only be accessed by authorised members of our staff and, for the purposes of maintaining and supporting the system, by members of staff at the third party. 

Where we contract with additional third parties to deliver SportsPro OTT Awards, we may also provide them with access to this data in order for them to fulfil their services to us. 

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

7. ATTENDING THE AWARDS CEREMONY

If you wish to attend the awards Ceremony or, as an organisation making an entry would like to bring Attendees, then you will need to make a separate attendance booking. Please see our website for further information, here. 

Short-listed entries will not gain access to the awards ceremony and will need to make a separate booking, should the Entrant or organisation wish to attend.
